In my 30 years of business development experience, I have had the opportunity to work with many customers of all sizes. From small independent business owners, key channel partners to large recognized global brands, such as Axalta, PPG, AkzoNobel, BASF, and Sherwin Williams, global franchises like Fix Network World, and others. I have worked with teams across the globe in places such as the UK, Spain, Korea, China, Japan, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Carlos Buchanan has recently launched Pivot Point Global; a management consulting firm encompassing a wide spectrum of services; including strategy development, operational improvement, organizational transformation, and performance optimization.

Carlos is a visionary leader with a proven history in driving transformative change across sales, marketing, and business operations; both globally and locally. With a strategic mindset and international expertise, Carlos has excelled in revitalizing underperforming businesses and pioneering new ventures, consistently achieving remarkable results.

Throughout his distinguished career at 3M, Carlos has held various pivotal roles, including Global Channel & Strategic Accounts Director and Regional Sales Manager in the Automotive Aftermarket Division. Notably, he spearheaded the commercialization of groundbreaking products, orchestrating global sales exceeding $200M and forging strategic partnerships across diverse regions like EMEA, Asia, China, and Latin America.

As Founder of Pivot Point Global, Mr. Buchanan’s leadership extends beyond revenue generation; he is deeply committed to talent development and organizational growth. As an accredited Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he led multifaceted projects, delivering substantial cost-saving initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. His dedication to nurturing talent has resulted in numerous promotions within the company, demonstrating his ability to inspire and empower teams to achieve their full potential.

With a rich educational background including an MBA from Florida International University’s Chapman Graduate School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from Barry University, Carlos combines academic acumen with practical expertise and commercial execution. He is also actively engaged in professional development, holding certifications in Lean Six Sigma, and participating in various leadership programs.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Carlos is deeply involved in community initiatives, volunteering with organizations like the Latino Resources Group for the past 21years and serving on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of The Treasure Coast for 5 years, he is currently a member of the American Legion Post 54 in support of fellow veterans. His commitment to driving positive change extends beyond the boardroom, reflecting his values of service and social responsibility.
